PEARLS Training

The training was organised 6 days from 19th April 2022 to 24th April 2022 at New Friendly Hotel Kushma. A total of 2 events, each event were organised for 3 days. A total of 30 young women (5 Dalit, 2 Janajati and 23 others) age from 16 to 40 were participated. The training had good representation from all types of geography, class and ethnic communities including Kushma Municipality, Phalewas Municipality, Modi Village Municipality, Bihadi Village Municipality and Paiyun Village Municipality of Parbat District. The program was facilitated by Yo Prasad Gurung from Global Institute of Management & Technology Pvt. Ltd. (GIMAT) Pokhara. 

A. Training Objectives

At the end of the training, participants would be able to:

Find out current actual condition of the cooperatives

• Know about various indicators used in PEARLS
• Identify solutions to the problems of their cooperatives.
• Understand the role and importance of account committee in the organization
• Prepare PEARLS report of the organization.
• Identify the financial strength and weakness of the cooperatives.
• Understand the possible measure to be taken if the PEARLS indicators are not in favour of the organization.
